Ricoh has decided to acquire the company division Pentax Imaging Systems for the production of digital cameras for the expansion in this market. Thus, the current owner of the Pentax - Company Hoya Corporation - will only unit for manufacturing of medical equipment. At Ricoh hopes that technology will help the company Pentax enter the market of light and compact camera with interchangeable lenses. The new owner will certainly come in handy and sales channels, developed Pentax. As expected, the transaction will be completed by mid-autumn.
