Samsung develops a new dual-core 1.5GHz chips Exynos

Samsung has confirmed that it has developed a new System-on-Chip (SoC) which uses a process Exynos 32nm high-k metal gate (HKMG) at low power. The 'Exynos 4212 is a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 with clock frequency of 1.5GHz.

The new chip will be used in smartphones and tablet, thanks to its process, it offers greater energy efficiency by 30%.


In addition, the GPU is now dell'Exynos 4212 offering 50% more in terms of 3D graphics accelerators and has advanced for images, video recording and playback HD 1080p and HDMI 1.4 support.

Samsung will show some samples from the new processor at some companies during the fourth quarter of 2011 and expose the public to the Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum in Taiwan.
