Mobile phones will become transparent

TDK Co. Company announced the industrial production of transparent displays based on organic diodes. Developers, seems to have finally managed to bring to mind its long standing development and run it in the series. True the parameters of the new items, which received the name UEL476, yet humble enough. Its diagonal is 2.4 inches (36.0x47.9 mm), 240x320 pixels and the brightness is 150 cd/m2. But and they say, Down and out the trouble started! Already, the display provides a bright image at different viewing angles, and its light transmission is 40%. Such a translucent screen as newfangled things can be equipped with mobile phones, iPods and similar devices. And with increasing the diagonal, these displays may be able to find himself and practical application. Let us imagine, for example, the windshield of the car, on which at a controlled degree of transparency will be possible to display a map obtained from the GPS navigator. And the emergence of flexible displays promise even greater opportunities and jackets with sewn into them multifunction displays do not seem fantastic.
